Litigator Alan Mark made the move to the Toronto office of Goodmans on April 1st, after leaving Norton Rose Canada. Mark had been with Goodmans from 1990 until 2002 when he left to join Ogilvy Renault (now Norton Rose Canada and soon to be Norton Rose Fulbright).
For me, Goodmans has a great clientele, but has one of the smallest conflict footprints, Mark told the IFLR1000 in a recent interview, and for them they saw a need to increase the depth in the top tier of their litigation practice.
His practice includes corporate and commercial litigation with an emphasis on M&A and securities litigation, shareholder and partnership litigation, class actions and banking and insolvency. He also has a long-standing electricity law and regulation practice.
